It is a pleasure to be here with you, sharing Christmas Day. A HUGE welcome to ALL new Subscribers and a HUGE welcome back to those who have survived more than one Edition of DOSE!
Being the busiest time of the year for everybody, I wasn't expecting too much feedback to the second Edition, so I wasn't disappointed when I didn't get much! LOL
I won't be giving you a lot to read in this Edition. I just wanted to share the 'EVENT' with you as a very valued Subscriber.
Speaking of 'events,' DaWiz DaBates focusses on a current Give-A-Way event that had a lot of people riled up, me included, hence the article.
Since the next Edition won't be until 2006, I take this opportunity of wishing you and yours, a VERY HAPPY AND SAFE NEW YEAR. I have a VERY POSITIVE feeling about 2006 in relation to what I will be doing on the Internet, and, if you stay with me for the ride, there will be BIG BENEFITS for you as well. (Gee I'm a teaser sometimes! LOL)

Oh, before we do, a message to all who are viewing DOSE for the first time. You can change the color of what DaWiz is wearing by refreshing your screen. Also, I don't include a menu in DOSE Editions, because I don't want you to skip anything. EVERY word on this page is important because it forms a vital part of what is required to succeed online, and that's COMMUNICATION! (That was a DaWizzerism =:o)

Last Issue, I presented a link to what I described as being the BEST web copy I had EVER read. I did receive feedback on this and you will find it, and my response, in the DaFeeder's ReadBack section.
Today's article is titled, "Is THIS in the Christmas Spirit?"
Now, I don't wish to sound like old Scrooge, going around muttering "Bah, Humbug," but I want to highlight some recent happenings concerning the 117ChristmasGifts.com promotion. No doubt, your email Inbox has been as filled as mine has, with everyone inviting you to join.
Now, there is a reason for all of this email and it ISN'T because promoters want you to have the Gifts for Christmas. As we all know, it's an email harvest - nothing more, nothing less.
The first 'twist' with this promotion, was that marketers who chose to participate, had to agree to CONTINUALLY bring in new recruits as this 'qualified' their position in the line of Give-A-Ways. Naturally, the closer you are to the front of the line, the more chance you have of building your Contact List. Hence, email overload.
Somewhere along the line, within hours of it being launched, the organizers CHANGED THE RULES! The 'gifts' were split into sections. After you had downloaded Section 1, the only way for you to access Section 2, was to refer three (3) friends. You can imagine the chaos that followed, as participants were feeling like they were being 'tricked' into recruiting others for use by the organizers.
The next part of the story, will be relayed via the posts in the forum. I have included part posts, no names, and responses from one of the organizers. Spelling and grammar has not been corrected. I submit these WITHOUT PREJUDICE, and include them here for information and educational purposes.
POST: While browsing thru the offers. I did found some "NEW" and unique items, but to my dismay. It was in VOL.II, and there was a Tell 5 Friends before you can download. That was really a turn-off and frustrating for me, I am just starting out...I don't have a list and I don't have friends that share my interest in this business, so what shall I do? Wait till January 5th to have access to VOL. II?
Is that fair?
ORGANIZER'S RESPONSE: You only need to tell 3 friends.
You can just ask your neighbors, friends, that
are interested in Internet marketing product
to just sign up under you.
It's worth the time don't you think for extra
200+ high quality product?

ANOTHER RESPONSE TO THE SAME POST: Everyone I know who is interested in Internet marketing has already signed up or has decided they don't want to.
And no one who isn't interested wants to open their mailbox to what they consider to be junk mail.
It's not like we have to *ASK* 3 people...3 people actually have to sign up.
Maybe asking the contributors for a minimum is fair, but asking people whose email addresses the contributors are trying to collect? 'Calls to action' should be as easy as possible, not as hard. Makes me glad I decided against becoming a contributor.
ORGANIZER'S RESPONSE: We're in the process of adding many promotion
tools, where you will know exactly how to get
those three people you deserved.
Another thing that I would like to say "What
all contributor do is basically putting up
a lot of effort to create the website, the
product, the graphics, as well as participate
on this event.
Not only it is time consuming, but it is also
cost them money as well. If we look at it this
way, whatever you do will always get back to
you. It means that If you're trying to against
anyone, people will try to against you as well.

RESPONSE TO EARLIER POST: (and it isn't mine) I'm in agreement with those who feel that actually GETTING 3 people to sign is wrong. Those people running the show are picking up a lot of good email addresses whether they use they or not, we'll never know.
My little list of ten have been repeatedly emailed but I can't force them to sign and if they get too much mail they'll probably leave.
As for advertising on the internet we would need affiliate numbers or codes to ensure that we were credited with the enrollees.
Neighbours? My closest is a mile away, he's a seventy year old farmer who has as much interest in the internet as I have in milking cows. Australians have an even bigger problem!!!
All the Guru seem to live in perfect little world where everything is SOOOO convenient. It's a big world out there and just because millions of people don't have high speed connections, huge list and fantastic web site doesn't mean that they don't have credit card.
ORGANIZER'S RESPONSE: Look at it this way, when you are sleeping
soundly at night time, where were all the
so-called "Guru" do?
They are working in the wee hours as well
as trying to prepare for this event for
you.
All the staff of 117ChristmasGifts.com were
sleeping only 4 - 5 hours a day in the last
30 days on preparing this even for you. WHY?
Because they want to see your smiling face on
getting the gifts that we have provided for
you on celebrating Christmas.
Why NOT putting a little small effort, getting
Three friends in return you receive 200+ high
quality products for free, while you may need
to purchase all of them in the future seperately
as soon as this event in the future.
Not only you will learn how to market to some
people, but you will get 200+ products as for your little
hard work.

RESPONSE TO HENRY'S POST: I don't wish to creat a fuss about the previous remark but it breaks my heart that you employees were sitting in nice warm surroundings planning this event.
Ask some of the people in the Northern United States what they've been doing - a lot dig out from the storms and a lot don't even get home at night. Airports are closed, people stranded on the highways and at bus stations. People die on the freeways. Snowplow drivers on 24hrs call, paramedics, emergency room doctors and nurses working with even less sleep.
THE MOST PERTINENT RESPONSE RE THE ACTUAL PROBLEM: I, too, was unaware of the 'tell a friend' stipulation when I mailed to my list this morning.
Currently my Amazing CD Money Machine is the #1 product in Volume I.
That's the good news. Now the bad news.
I have a couple dozen emails from formerly faithful subscribers unsubbing from my list and accusing me of misleading them with the 117 free offer.
These people usually take what I say as newsletter gospel and trust my guidance. Now they're accusing me of being just another scammer.
They don't want to refer 3 friends.
They just want their 117 downloads, which is what I promised them.
You need to reconsider the 'tell 3 friends' rule or make it optional as an incentive to earn commissions.

ORGANIZER'S RESPONSE: Due to several consideration from JV partners
including yourself, (not referring to me) we would open 117 Products
to all subscribers, as we want you to know that
at 117, we are doing our best to satisfied
each individual needs.
We apologize for your subscribers respons, but
we would like to correct this midunderstanding
immediately, even with 2 hours sleep last night.
Tomorrow, Dec 19'05, the 117 products will be
open to download for all users. I hope this
solve the problem with your subscribers.
WOW! Not bad for what usually is a simple Christmas Give-A-Way! The point being made, is that it is totally unfair, and in fact unethical, to alter the rules after something like this commences. It adversely affects so many people. I hope they will learn from this debacle and I hope others who organize future Joint Ventures, also learn, that people have a right to be treated properly. It doesn't matter whether you are giving them gifts or not. Treat them fairly and they will come back, time and time again. Yank their chains the wrong way - you've lost them FOREVER, and that's a long, long time!
It will be interesting to see how things go this time next year, when the 117ChristmasGifts.com 2006 version hits our email Inboxes.

Now, I am not silly enough to think that everyone would
agree with me. That's why I appreciate you emailing me
even more.
I see you are not yet a Subscriber, and yet you felt you
had to comment. So, some good came out of you reading
the Web copy. It motivated you enough to have your say.
That's why I liked the copy so much Rachel. It stirred me.
I am not one to part with my money easily but I did sign
up straight away because I felt this guy was speaking my
language.
I found the web copy to be hyped up in places, but it is so
hard to get a particular message across, especially a message
that you are so personally passionate about, without hitting
the hype trail along the way.
It's all part of the advertising game. I found this web copy got
the message out clearly and strongly without every second
paragraph being full of hype. Then again, that's my opinion.
Feedback is important. Likewise, acknowledgement of that feed back is just as important. COMMUNICATION is the KEY. Operating behind a locked door, will result in failure. Keep the COMMUNICATION door, OPEN at ALL TIMES!
