Please Note: This Sample Edition is somewhat LARGER than what each REGULAR Edition will be. I am going all out in an effort to impress, so I have included as many of the features that will appear, at some stage, in DOSE.
What you will find, as you are stomping around the rooms and caverns of this vast castle I call the Academy, are examples of the type of learning center this will be. There will be controversy, humor, instruction, humor, and, of course, recess time! *DaWiz smiles* Everything is real and functional, so, if something takes your fancy, click on it!

NEVER let an interesting opportunity pass by without at least a little investigation. SEIZE THE MOMENT! If left for later, it is an opportunity possibly lost forever, which would be a tragedy, not unlike what happened to Macbeth, but that's another story for another time and another place.
Sorry about that. Sometimes I tend to think out loud and also ramble. I told you in the enrollment room, that I am always learning. If I don't write it down when I think of it, I forget it later. You might think about noting that down as well. *DaWiz winks* OK, sit in on the classes that are currently underway, and see if the Academy offers YOU anything that you think will be beneficial.
Mmmmm ... I see that your eyebrow is raised? Aaahhh! You've noticed my accent. Yes, I'm an Aussie. I hope you see that as being a positive and NOT a negative. I might also warn you at this stage, that I sometimes use *DaWizSpeak* which was borne by combining my individualistic offbeat sense of humor with rap hip hop scatting type Aussie lingo. WOW! What a mouthful! Also keep a lookout for *DaWizzerisms*. You will recognize what they are when you see them.

I read a very interesting article recently, concerning BLOGS. For those of you who don't know what a BLOG is, it is the abbreviated version of weB LOG, and is basically an online diary. They are certainly the rage right at this present moment. People are seeing them as mini gold mines. Maybe you have one, which is why I thought this might be of interest to you, and to those who are maybe thinking about starting one.
Blog popularity has skyrocketed to the point, that even news networks like CNN and MSNBC quote blogs, in particular political blogs, often giving some blog publishers instant rock star status with the media. With all the hoopla around blogs, people forget that blogs, by their very nature, represent opinions, and opinions don't necessarily represent the facts.
Blogs use a powerful form of psychology know as 'social proof' where we look to others to help us understand how we should view, feel, or react to news and information. Since the availability of information only gets more massive online with each passing day and, you must agree, it is impossible for one person to get through completely on their own, we look to others to help us sort the piles of data. This is one of the reasons I created this Academy.
When you combine this with another online scenario, virtual anonymity, you get a dangerous combination where any social responsibility for what gets posted, flies out the window in many cases. People can, and do, post whatever they want, because no 'hall monitor' can reprimand them for blatant intellectual graffiti! Here at the Academy, we HAVE hall monitors. They're the little guys on horseback.
Make no mistake, every person publishing a blog with any level of readership, takes a stance on the issues, whether political, social, religious or business. Even if they strive to be impartial and only report the 'news,' blog publishers are human beings who want you to think they're smart, agree with them, and accept their point of view, even if they don't realize it consciously. Less scrupulous blog publishers often exploit the social and psychological power of blogs to spread disinformation (intentionally wrong information) to further their agenda. This tactic rates quite popular on political blogs and has started creeping into business blogs too.
The 'LESSON' to learn from all of this is simple. To protect yourself, don't rely heavily on the opinions of others to make your decisions, especially the opinions of nameless, faceless bloggers with a self-serving agenda who operate with a veil of anonymity and a no sense of social responsibility. This is why the Academy is so important to your online experience. We are ALWAYS approachable and DO NOT hide. You are always welcomed to participate in the debates, either via the feedback link provided, or via any mini polls that may be provided.

This is where we sit around, drink coffee, have an informal chat, and I run a few things by you. As you are STILL in the Academy AND on Academy time, the 'learning' aspect is still very valid. *DaWizzerism* Whilst you're learning, you're increasing your chances of earning! * Yes, that WAS a DaWiz DaWizzerism! I told you they would be very easy to recognize, now didn't I? *DaWiz gives out a loud belly laugh*
I will be quick, because I have a lot to get through to convince you that you want to enrol and be a part of the Academy and it's ongoing commitment to assisting both the NEW and the EXPERIENCED. We ALL learn at a different pace. Some things presented won't interest the new, but the experienced will be falling over themselves to get their hands on what's being presented. The reverse will also be the case.
