The Academy, the Shield, the Motto
Yes, the Academy is a castle! Why? Because you are working from home and your home is your castle. What better environment for me to be able to present you with my lessons, than in YOUR OWN CASTLE? What else will be offered to YOU as a student of the DOSE Academy? To answer this, and to also give you a little more insight into myself and my outlook on things, I decided to present them in a Question and Answer type format. Here we go:
Question: Do you consider yourself to be a GURU?
Answer: *DaWiz screams loudly* NOOOOOOOOO!
In my opinion, GURU stands for: Garbage - Utter Rubbish - Useless! I hope that answers that question and, should you become a student of mine, I please ask that you NEVER refer to me as being one.
Question: Will you be offering Advertising opportunities?
Answer: YES. (Please click HERE for details.)
Question: Will you be offering Free eBook Downloads?
Answer: YES, but mainly as REWARDS for handing in your homework.
Question: Will there REALLY be HOMEWORK and what form will it take?
Answer: YES, there WILL be homework and it will be in the form of FEEDBACK.
How am I, as a teacher, meant to know if I am going OK if I don't get feedback? It's easy to be a wizard but almost impossible to be a mind reader! Therefore, those who DO RESPOND and send in their feedback, (homework), WILL be rewarded and will PROGRESS quicker, both in the Academy AND in their goal to be successful in their online Internet endeavors.
Question: Will there be a Graduation Ceremony once the Course has finished?
Answer: I KNEW there would be some smart a** who would ask that question!
The short answer is NO! You will ALWAYS be learning, so there will NEVER be a completion to the Course, so NO Graduation Ceremony. However, having said that, if you REALLY want to have one, all you need do is to send me a fully paid return Airline Ticket to where ever you are, and we can party as much, and for as long, as you want to! * HUGE SMILE*
Question: Will our lessons be interrupted with RSS Feeds or Google Ads, etc?
Answer: NOPE. You need to be focused to be able to learn.
As I mentioned earlier, this is a 'back to basics' Academy. I feel they would detract from your experience here, so I chose NOT to include them. Well, not at this stage anyway. Likewise, the lessons WON'T be crammed full of things for you to learn. If I presented you with 10 things to learn per lesson, you would, on average, only retain information about 2 of them. On that basis, it is better for me to give you 2 things to learn and I can then expect 100 percent retention! Correct?
Question: What do you do in your spare time when not teaching?
Answer: When not teaching, I'm LEARNING and DOING.
